Avocet Hospitality Group is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll help bring our brands to life through engaging content, creative campaigns, and strategic social media management. SALARY: $42,000 - $50,000

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain engaging digital content for blogs, social media, email campaigns, and website copy to enhance brand storytelling.
  • Create and schedule social media posts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and creative team to develop visually compelling assets for marketing campaigns.
  • Engage and facilitate influencer relationships and coordination under the direction of the Senior Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, and email marketing.
  • Monitor and analyze social media and website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite, providing insights to optimize strategy.
  • Support email marketing initiatives, including audience segmentation, campaign execution, and performance tracking.
  • Update calendar listings and third-party websites to reflect current campaign activations, events, and promotions.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, digital marketing best practices, and emerging social media trends to keep strategies fresh and competitive.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new digital platforms, tools, or techniques to enhance marketing efforts.
  • Support the marketing team with additional ad hoc projects, event promotion, content curation, and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, VP of Marketing, or Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation preferred. Strong internship experience will be considered.

Skills:

  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency. Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok) and an understanding of current content trends.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, digital marketing strategies, and analytics tools.
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and digital marketing best practices.

  • Normal range of vision and hearing needed for assessing visual content, reviewing marketing materials, and participating in discussions.
  • Must effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines and platforms in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and switch tasks when necessary.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve design challenges and handle creative conflicts effectively.
  • Resilience under pressure, with the ability to meet tight deadlines, manage revisions, and maintain composure while collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and creative partners.

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, with weekly in-office collaboration required at our downtown Charleston, SC-based office. Candidates should be based within commuting distance of Downtown Charleston, SC.
  • Occasional travel (<10%) required for on-site work at hotels, photo/video shoots, team meetings, and special projects. Travel may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, and third-party vendors.
  • Regular property site visits (locally) to support marketing initiatives and content creation.
