Step into a world where historic charm meets modern elegance. Located in the vibrant heart of downtown Mobile, The Admiral is a completely reimagined boutique hotel where we "dazzle and delight" our guests at every turn. We are seeking an autonomous, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician I to protect our historic asset, preserve our sophisticated design, and ensure everything functions flawlessly behind the scenes.
What You’ll Do:
Preserve the Guest Experience: Resolve guest room work orders, fix maintenance problems, and execute our ongoing room preventative maintenance program with care and precision.
Keep Operations Flowing: Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems (replacing light fixtures, clearing drains, changing door lock batteries).
Maintain the Aesthetic: Handle general upkeep, including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and caulking to keep our public spaces and rooms in pristine condition.
Collaborate for Success: Partner with Housekeeping and the Chief Engineer to inspect the property, identify potential issues, and tackle daily tasks.
What You Bring:
1+ years of related maintenance experience (hotel environment a plus).
A solid, practical understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, plus comfort using hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and a friendly, professional attitude when interacting with guests.
Physical Readiness: Ability to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift, lift/carry up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and comfortably work in both hot and cold conditions (indoors/outdoors).
High school diploma or equivalent.
