Housekeeping Attendant

Office: Tides Folly Beach

** $500 Sign-On Bonus!!**

LOCATION: Tides hotel - 1 Center St, Folly Beach, SC 29439

SALARY: $19.00 per hour + $500 sign-on bonus ($250 after 3 months of service & $250 after 6 months!)

The Tides Housekeeping department is currently seeking to hire passionate Room, Lobby & Laundry Attendants.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL ATTENDANT POSITIONS:

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to clean rooms efficiently within time standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with good communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Physically able to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull throughout shift

- ROOM ATTENDANT – Summary

Responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Completes room assignments efficiently while reporting maintenance issues and responding to guest needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Clean and service guest rooms, including bathrooms and bedrooms
    • Make beds, change linens, and inspect bedding
    • Sanitize furniture, appliances, and high-touch surfaces
    • Sweep, mop, and maintain overall room cleanliness
    • Stock and organize housekeeping carts and storage areas
    • Report maintenance issues and address guest requests as needed

- LOBBY ATTENDANT – Summary

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel’s public areas, including the lobby, restrooms, and event spaces. Ensures all areas meet cleanliness standards while providing a welcoming environment for guests.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Clean and maintain lobby, lounge, event spaces, and public areas
    • Clean, stock, and monitor guest and employee restrooms throughout the day
    • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets
    • Maintain the cleanliness of elevators and high-traffic areas
    • Empty trash and ashtrays regularly across the property
    • Ensure supplies are stocked, and areas remain presentable
    • Remain visible and responsive in lobby areas to support guest needs

LAUNDRY ATTENDANT – Summary

Responsible for the daily operation of the laundry department, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens. Ensures all laundry is processed efficiently, equipment is properly used and maintained, and linen inventory stays in rotation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens according to standards
    • Monitor the laundry chute and maintain workflow throughout the shift
    • Operate and maintain laundry equipment; report issues as needed
    • Identify and track damaged linens
    • Keep laundry area clean, organized, and well-stocked
    • Assist with inventory and suggest efficiency improvements
    • Maintain a positive, guest-friendly attitude when in public areas
